Laughter, Legacy, and the Love That Built Us

On 14th June 2025, the Priyadarshani family came together to celebrate the 77th birth anniversary of Late Smt. Naval Singh, the school’s Founder Chairperson. The tribute wasn’t marked by speeches, but by smiles and shared laughter, led by comedian Samir Choughule. It was an emotional, joy-filled gathering that honoured the quiet strength, love, and legacy of a woman who helped build the school’s soul. Through warmth and connection, her spirit was beautifully remembered.

A moment can hold an entire legacy and on 14th June 2025,that moment unfolded at Priyadarshani in the most memorable way.

The Priyadarshani family gathered to celebrate the 77thbirth anniversary of Late Smt. Naval Singh, our Founder Chairperson—the woman who stood beside the school’s first steps, who stayed steady when there were just five students and a single rented room, and who believed in the dream long before it had a name.

But this wasn’t a conventional tribute. There were no long speeches. Instead, there was warmth, there was laughter, and there was connection. The auditorium was packed—not just with people, but with emotion. Parents, teachers, support staff, trustees—everyone came together like family. And it truly felt like one.

Taking center stage was the incredibly talented Samir Choughule, who brought a wave of energy into the room with his brilliant timing, wit, and an unmistakable sense of joy. He didn’t just entertain—he lit the place up. His performance was more than just comedy; it became a shared experience, a moment of collective joy that reminded us how healing laughter can be. In a way, he brought us closer to her spirit—celebrating her memory not with silence, but with smiles.

Behind the laughter, though, there was something else—a quiet gratitude. We weren’t just enjoying a show. We were honoring someone who helped create the very space we sat in. Someone who never sought the spot light, but made it possible for others to shine.

Smt. Naval Singh was a core part of the journey. While Indraman sir carved the path, she was the steady hand holding everything together. The strength behind the vision. The one who made sure the school grew not just with size, but with soul. She looked after the things that didn’t show up in reports—the relationships, the resilience, the care.

Now, as Priyadarshani reaches over 17,000 students, you can still feel her touch. In the quiet discipline of a classroom, the way a teacher listens, the way a child feels safe—it’s all rooted in what she stood for.

She believed that leadership could be gentle. That education should always have heart. And that a school’s success isn’t measured just by numbers, but by how many lives it touches.

As the curtains fell, the applause filled the room—and though it was for a brilliant show, for a moment, it felt like it was for her. For everything she gave us without asking for anything in return.

Her story lives on, not in textbooks or timelines, but in every small act of care we pass on. We didn’t just remember her. We celebrated the spirit she left behind.

And thanks to a day filled with joy, humour, and heart felt connection—we know she would’ve been smiling too.
